A new Gundam anime series means to a new Gundam anime series info thread. As usual I will update this thread with new info whenever I managed to find them. Other users who managed to chance upon info (from creditable sources) which has not already been posted here please post it here as well and share it with other Gundam fans. Mobile Suit Gundam UC (aka Gundam Unicorn) will be launched as a six episode original video series (OVA) with each episode lasting 50 minutes. It will be released in the Spring of 2010 and consist of various platforms such as Blu-ray, DVD, public screenings, online distribution, and overseas releases. At the time of this post, the exact release date has not be announced and the only truly confirmed release platforms are Blu-ray and DVD. Mecha and character info, as well as main staff and voice actors info are all available on the official English site. More info regarding the series can also be found on Wikipedia. |

finally some release info after so long... The first episode of Gundam Unicorn, “The day of unicorn”, will be available in Japan in the following ways:
* From February 20th to March 5th, it will be screened in five theaters (Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, Sapporo and Fukuoka). The privileged ones who assist this screening are allowed to purchase the Blu-Ray Disc before its official release date. It specifications will be announced on the official website on January 20th. * From February 20th, the first episode of Gundam Unicorn will be available on the japanese PlaystationStore [it is the "Internet" release previously announced]. * On 2010 March 12th, it will be available on Blu-Ray (5.040 JPY) and DVD (3.990 JPY). * 6 volumes for the whole series. * The Blu-Ray Disc available on March 12th will be released worldwide on the same day. * It will include japanese and english dubbing (5.1ch), as well as japanese, english, french, spanish and chinese subtitles. * The DVD version appears to be dedicated to japanese inner market only (japanese and english subtitles included). * This worldwide release is intended to restraint bootlegs and illegal download. |
